Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune said Monday in Algiers that the new gas pipeline project between Algeria and Italy is “extremely important” and “will be completed in a short time” to allow Algeria to export in addition to gas, electricity, ammonia, and hydrogen.
He added that “the duration of this project is left to the estimate of the technicians. Nevertheless, I believe that it will be short, especially since we have agreed on the gas pipeline project and have signed an agreement about it today, for the launch of the study and then the realization”.
After recalling that this gas pipeline will transport, in addition to gas, electricity, hydrogen, and ammonia, President Tebboune reaffirmed “the extreme importance of this project which will establish Italy as a hub for the distribution of these energy products to Europe”.
Algeria continues President Tebboune, “is considered a main supplier and we want to move to a new stage with the Italians because Italy will be a hub for the distribution of energy (electricity, gas, ammonia, and hydrogen) towards Europe”.
