The summer seasons follow one another and are all the same for Algérie Ferries. In addition to its chaotic management of the crossing program, the Algerian national shipping company also disappoints with the quality of its meals served on board.
On its website, Algérie Ferries explains that the catering service “is included in the ticket”, specifying that its first-class passengers have access to the restaurant while those in economy class can eat in self-service.
In a post shared on Facebook, however, one traveler railed against the quality of the food served by the company in self-service. “There is nothing good to eat! Travelers eat just to not be hungry!” he denounced.
Algeria Ferries: “80% of travelers want steak and chips”
In photos he attached to his post, the traveler shows a rather unappetizing Zitoun tajine pot as well as two other empty pots in which there were pasta and white beans in sauce.

According to this traveler, “80% of travelers” want to eat steak and chips, but the company, instead of offering this dish on demand, prefers to prepare again and again “giant pots of water sauce, tomatoes with green olives and pieces of frozen meat without any taste.”

He points out that although “the passenger pays for his meal, he still has no choice”, finding himself forced to eat in “a canteen where the service is more than shabby”.
Whether by plane or boat, it should be remembered that the meals served on board are of great importance in improving the quality of the trip, especially if it lasts several hours.
In addition to its catering problems, Algérie Ferries is facing serious management issues that have disrupted its summer program and have already caused harm to many travelers departing from the ports of Marseille, Sète, and Alicante.
