Morocco intends to strengthen its position in the global aeronautics industry to attract more and more manufacturers. The Kingdom is participating in the international air show held in Farnborough, southeast of London, from July 22 to 26. To showcase the Kingdom’s potential, the Moroccan Aerospace Industries Group (GIMAS) is supporting the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE) at this event.
GIMAS, a federation that brings together more than 140 companies employing some 20,000 employees, presents at Farnborough the many assets that make Morocco a preferred destination for investments in the aeronautics sector. Participation in the Farnborough International Air Show is “important since it strengthens Morocco’s strategic positioning in the global supply chain,” GIMAS CEO Maria El Filali told MAP. Through discussions with partners, stakeholders, manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, and industrialists in the aeronautics sector, GIMAS presents the assets that allow Morocco to establish itself as an “essential” player to enable the continuity of activity at the global level, she added.
