83,000 Jobs for Algerians in Italy Available at the End of March

Algeria Italy: The Italian government has opened the possibility of employment for Algerians under the decree on the influx of foreign labor for the current year, for which approximately 83,000 jobs have been allocated, in several specializations required on the labor market in this European country, provided that applications will begin at the end of next March.

The announcement of these measures was made by Decreto Flussi, in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic, number 21, published on Thursday, January 26, 2023, opening to Algerians and citizens of 32 countries the possibility of obtaining employment out of 82 thousand and 705 jobs available during this year.

As for the nationalities concerned, the decree specifies that in addition to Algerians, the countries concerned are Albania, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Korea (Republic of Korea), Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Philippines, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Japan, Guatemala, India, Kosovo, Mali, Morocco, Mauritius, Moldova, Montenegro, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru and Republic of North Macedonia, Senegal, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tunisia, and Ukraine.

As for the Algerians, they are particularly concerned by dependent work (that is to say with employers) which is not seasonal according to the decree, which is the type of contract for which 24 thousand 105 jobs have been assigned.

As for the professions required, the decree specifies that they fall under the sectors of land transport, construction, tourism, hospitality, mechanics, communications, food, and shipbuilding.

With regard to the application deadlines, the decree indicated that they begin at nine in the morning on the 60th day following the publication of the decree in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic, which means that the submission of applications is scheduled for the end next March, and they remain valid until the corresponding quotas are reached, i.e. until December 31, 2023.

The decree did not specify the share of jobs for each country, which means that they will be opened according to the number of applicants for the positions.
