2nd “Russia-Africa” ​​Summit: The Head of State for Relations Beneficial to the African Peoples

The President of the Transition, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, in his speech at the opening of the 2nd “Russia-Africa” ​​summit this Friday at the end of the morning, wished to establish better relations with the Federation of Russia that can meet the needs of the people.

Before his African peers gathered around the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir PUTIN, the Head of State defended the commitment and determination of the people of Burkina Faso in the face of the terrorist Hydra. “The people of Burkina Faso have decided to fight against the terrorist hydra to relaunch their development. In this struggle, valiant populations have pledged to take up arms in the face of terrorism”, declared the President of the Transition, who did not fail to castigate all these “imperialists” who treat the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland as militias.

To this end, he insisted on more solidarity and unity among African heads of state in the face of imperialist and neocolonial discourse. “We African heads of state must stop behaving like puppets who dance every time the imperialists pull the strings,” he argued.

In Saint Petersburg, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE welcomed the holding of the summit which discusses the issue of the strategic partnership with Russia for the development of Africa and the well-being of the populations. Also, he hoped that “this summit will be an opportunity to be able to forge very good relations with a view to a better future for our peoples”. While welcoming Russia’s gesture of solidarity towards our country, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE invited his African peers, in view of the continent’s wealth and its enormous agricultural potential, to work to ensure food self-sufficiency for the populations. .

For Russian President Vladimir PUTIN, who is campaigning for the construction of a charter for a fairer world order, “Russia and Africa are united by the innate inspiration to defend true sovereignty, the right to development in economic, political, social and cultural.

In this perspective, the Russian President announced the resumption of the activities of the Russian embassies in Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea.

Faced with his African counterparts, President PUTIN reaffirmed his support for the presence of the African Union in the G20 and within the framework of the reform of the UN Security Council, the place for the continent in this body. “It is time to correct the historic injustice against the African continent,” stressed the Russian president, who protests against unilateral sanctions and punitive measures which are counterproductive for development.

This 2nd “Russia-Africa” ​​summit placed under the theme: “Peace, security and development” was a springboard for the Russian President to reconsider Russia’s desire to work closely with African States in the fight against terrorism in through training and equipment and for development actions.
