Tunisia-Tribune (Tunisian exports to the European Union)- Tunisian exports to the European Union (71% of total exports) grew by 14.1% during the first nine months of 2023. This development is explained by the increase in exports to several partners such as France (+9.2%), Italy (+18.7%), Germany (+13.8%), Spain (+32. 8%), and the Netherlands (19.6%), according to a note from the INS on Foreign Trade at current prices / September 2023, made public on Tuesday.
As for Arab countries, exports increased with Algeria (+28.3%) and Libya (+9.6%). On the other hand, they decreased with Egypt (-25.2%) and Morocco (-7.9%). Concerning imports with the European Union (43.4% of total imports), they recorded a decline of -7.5% to stand at 25,807.3 MD.
Imports fell by 4% from France, by 14.7% from Italy and by 16.2% from Spain. On the other hand, they increased by 17.4% from Germany and 25.5% from the Netherlands.
Outside the European Union, imports increased with Russia (+137.3%), Ukraine (+71.5%), Switzerland (10.7%), and the United Kingdom (15.6%). On the other hand, they decreased with Turkey (-27%), China (6.8%), and the USA (-16.4%).
